Russia's stainless steel exports in November 2012

According to an estimate by SpetsStal Association, the volume of Russian stainless steel exports in November 2012, compared to the previous month, increased 0.9% to 880 tons. Exports of stainless steel flat-rolled products grew 116.3%, wire - 75.0%, seamless tubes - 1.1% and welded tubes - 52.6%.

Exports of long products and slabs/ingots fell 9.9% and 54.9% respectively.

Over the period from Jan till Nov 2012, compared with the equal period of 2011, the volume of Russia stainless steel exports rose 6.3% to 7,463 tons.
To remind, the volume of stainless steel imports for the same period equated to 210,149 tons.

Stainless steel scrap
The volume of Russia's stainless steel scrap exports in Nov 2012, compared to the previous month, decreased 32.9% to 5,822 tons.
Over the period from Jan till Nov 2012, compared with the equal period of 2011, the aggregate volume of Russia's stainless steel scrap exports fell 17.8% to 75,980 tons.
