Stainless Steel Longs Production in Russia
The aggregate volume of stainless steel long products output (incl. tube billets) in 1H 2011, if compared to the equal period in 2010, grew 8.7% to 21148 tons.
\r\nOutput of tube billets increased 26.9% while of longs – 5.9%.
\r\nThe grade mix, in general, comprised austenitic nickel-bearing steels whose share amounted to 57.3% (57.5% - in 1H 2010).
\r\nThe key producers of this sort of stainless steel products in 1H 2011 were:
\r\n- Zlatoust MZ – 6.51 th. tons or 30.8% out of the total output. In 1H 2010 – 4.31 th. tons (27.8%).
\r\n- Electrostal MZ – 6.15 th. tons (29.1%). In 1H 2010 – 3.43 th. tons (17.6%).
\r\n- Red October VMZ – 4.39 th. tons (20.8%). In 1H 2010 – 3.43 th. tons (17.6%).
\r\n- Izhstal – 3.55 th. tons (16.8%). In 1H 2010 году – 7.22 th. tons (37.0%).
