Another record of Russian stainless steel importers
According to expert assessment of the Spetsstal Association, the volume of Russian import of basic stainless steel products increased in August 2018 compared to July by 12.1% and amounted to 40,752 tons.
This is a new record for modern Russia.
Imports of flat products increased by 11.1%, long products - by 45.5%, wire - by 6.6%, seamless tubes – by 44.7% and fitting/flanges - by 38.9%.
Imports of welded tubes decreased by 19.1% and slabs/ingots - by 70.7%.
