Russian stainless steel consumption in 2017
According to Spetsstal Association, in 2017 the volume of stainless steel consumption in Russia, compared with 2016, increased by 15.1% to 476.82 thousand tons.
The volume of domestic output increased by 0.7%, export - by 62.2% and import - by 21.2%.
Consumption of stainless steel CR flat-rolled products increased by 16.4%, HR flat-rolled products - by 11.4%, bars/rods – 9.2%, welded tubes – 21.9%, seamless tubes - by 22.8%, wire – by 15.8% and slabs/ingots - by 20.8%.
The share of foreign stainless steel products in total consumption was 76.7% (2016 – 72.9%).
