China ousted Italy from the first place
This year (January-September) Russian companies imported welded stainless steel tubes from 29 countries (Q1-Q3, 2016 - 27 countries). Purchase costs increased by 50.1% and amounted to 48.64 million US dollars.
In the period from January to September 2017, compared to the same period of previous year, Russian imports of welded stainless steel tubes increased by 50.5% to 16,332 tons.
An increase in purchases amounted to 5,482 tons 91.8% of which were made in China.
The share of Chinese tubes in the total volume of import increased to 50.7% (Q1-Q3 2016 - 29.9%), and the total volume amounted to 8,275 tons.
Italian importers took the second place, with Italian tubes accounting for 32.2% (47.4%) of total purchases, and the volume increased by 2.2% to 5,259 tons.
In the third place are Vietnamese tubes, whose share increased to 4.5% (1.1%), and the volume - almost by 6 times to 728 tons.
This year, Vietnamese tubes ousted Taiwanese tubes from the third place, their share fell from 5.6% in Q1-Q3 2016 to 4.4% in Q1-Q3 2017, the volume was only 716 tons.
Czech tubes took the fifth place. Their share in the total volume was 1.6% (3.1%), and the volume decreased by 19.8% to 269 tons.
