Russia stainless steel imports in November 2016

According to an estimate by SpetsStal Association, the volume of Russian stainless steel import in November 2016, compared with October, decreased by 3.4% to 31,285 tons.

Imports of flat-rolled products decreased by 1.0% to 24,585 tons, seamless tubes - by 48.0% to 983 tons and welded tubes - by 22.6% to 1,320 tons.

However, imports of bars/rods rose by 4.0% to 2,878 tons, wire - by 20.8% to 843 tons, fittings/flanges – by 9.5% to 520 tons and slabs/ingots - by seven times to 156 tons.

Over Jan-Nov 2016, compared with the same period of 2015, stainless steel imports  increased by 28.5% to 275,014 tons.

Imports of flat-rolled products increased by 32.2%, bars/rods – by 18.3%, wire – by 16.5%, seamless tubes – by 9.6%, welded tubes – by 17.2%, fittings/flanges – by 28.5% and slabs/ingots – by 9.6%.
