Stainless steel consumption in Russia decreased by 10.6%
According to Spetsstal, the volume of stainless steel consumption in Russia over period from Jan till Sep 2015, compared to the equal time interval in 2014, decreased by 10.6% to 245.1 thousand tons. At that, the volume of domestic output decreased by 7.4% to 83.88 thousand tons, exports - by 49.4% to 3.5 thousand tons and imports increased by 7.4% to 164.7 thousand tons.
The share of stainless steel imports amounted 67.2%. To remind, in Q1-Q3 2014, it was 69.5%.
