Russian export of stainless steel in August
The structure of Russian export was presented by seamless tubes, which share in total deliveries amounted to 55.7% (in July - 29.3%), long products - 22.0% (17.2%), flat-rolled products - 15.3% (35.2%), welded tubes - 5.5% (5.4%), fittings/flanges - 1.1% (1.5%), wire - 0.2% (0.7%) and slabs/ingots - 0.2% (10.6%).
In August 2015, export of long products increased by 65.7% to 116 tons, seamless pipes - by 147.1% to 294 tons and welded tubes - by 31.8% to 29 tons.
Export of flat rolled products decreased by 43.4% to 81 tons, wire - by 66.7% to 1 ton and slabs/ingots - by 97.7% to 1 ton. Fittings/flanges export remained the same - 6 tons.
In the period from January to August 2015, compared to the same period of 2014, the volume of Russian export of major stainless steel products decreased by 52.1% and amounted to 3,137 tons.
